In May of 1992, the citizens of Huntsville, Alabama, went into shock when they heard the news that one of their beloved citizens, Dr. Jack Wilson, had been found brutally beaten and stabbed to death in the upstairs hallway of his home. His wife, Betty Wilson, and her twin sister, Peggy Lowe, were arrested for hiring James White, a delusional schizophrenic, alcoholic street bum to kill Betty’s wealthy husband. Betty was tried first. She was convicted and sentence to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Peggy was tried next. She was acquitted. The State of Alabama had no case against the twins so the suspected killer was offered a deal he couldn’t refuse. In exchange for his helping the state to convict the twins, he would receive a straight life sentence with the possibility of parole instead of the electric chair. There was evidence that the prosecution helped the killer prepare his testimony against the twins, but he never confessed to killing the doctor. The twins were tried on the same weak evidence and the same lying testimony. So why was Betty convicted and Peggy acquitted? Betty was the evil twin, a rich bitch recovering alcoholic who had extramarital affairs with black men and was tried in Tuscaloosa where the KKK was alive and well. Peggy was the saintly twin, an elementary school teacher and church going do-gooder, and her defense dropped a forensic bomb at her trial......White was not alone at the murder scene and the murder did not occur at the Wilsons' home. James White recanted his trial testimony several times swearing that he had lied about the twins' involvement in the murder. AND that he did not do it. All of Betty’s appeals had been exhausted. All hope for freedom looked dismal until a witness, an ex-Marine and former undercover agent for the government, came forward. He knew James White and could prove that White did not act alone in the actual murder, but the witness was betrayed by the Three Stooges, a backwoods southern lawyer, a college professor, and a two bit PI. Who was involved with James White in the murder of Dr. Wilson? Was it the doctor's jealous ex-wife and ungrateful bisexual son? Is this truly the final chapter of the Alabama twins killer-for-hire murder case? These questions and more are answered in KILLER-FOR-HIRE - The Final Chapter of the Alabama Twins Murder Case.
