THE BETTY WILSON KILLER-FOR-HIRE MURDER CASE
On March 1, 2003, I received an e-mail from Dennis Johnson. He had been surfing the web and came across the Betty Wilson web site. What caught his eye was the picture of James White. The name Betty Wilson meant nothing to him. After months of corresponding with him, I finally convinced Betty's defense team to contact him because it appeared he had information that could get her a new trial. On September 9, 2003, Brent Morrison and Edward Blackwelder took a lengthy deposition from Johnson. The deposition along with several other witnesses could have gotten Betty a new trial. Check it out yourself. Deposition For some reason that remains incomprehensible, her defense team asked a two-bit PI, Ron Watson, to go Florida and get an affidavit from Johnson. The affidavit was to supposedly clarify some items in the deposition such as the real names of the others involved, the date the $2,500 was given to White and the name of the bar where Johnson met White the evening of May 22, 1992. Why didn't Morrison have the affidavit professionally prepared, pickup the phone, call Johnson, go over it with him, make any corrections and send Blackwelder, who is a notary, to obtain Johnson's signature? Because he knew Johnson didn't know this information. What was Morrison and Blackwelder up to? On February 14, 2004, Johnson met Watson at a designated roadside park. After reading the affidavit and marking out over half of the information on the page, Johnson wadded it up and throw it on the ground stating that he was not going to sign it because it was full of lies and went against everything in his deposition. Johnson immediately called Morrison in the presence of Watson and told him under no circumstances was he going to sign the affidavit. No problem for Watson. He had his laptop and printer with him so he just fixed-up out another copy, marked out a couple of items, forged Johnson's signatures on the affidavit and had it notarize by a notary public who wasn't even present on that day. Check out these links. Forged Affidavit and Handwriting Expert's Opinion. Did Watson pay the notary's husband to notarize the forged signatures? This is Watson's style. To quote from an e-mail from him, "It has always been about getting Betty out of prison..... Did I lie? yes. Did I manipulate? Yes. Did I use people? yes. I did whatever I needed to do to peruse my mission....get Betty out of prison". Why would Morrison file the forged affidavit? To quote from an e-mail from him," I will tell you that the affidavit was submitted because I was told by Ron Watson that Dennis signed it after marking out the things that were not correct. I told Ron Watson to explain to Dennis that I need this Affidavit to clarify points that appeared in the deposition itself. It was edited and signed by Dennis as true and correct." Morrison seemed to have forgotten the irate telephone call from Johnson about NOT SIGNING THE AFFIDAVIT!! MORRISON PROMISED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS TO CORRECT THIS MATTER AND OTHERS BUT NEVER DID. The bottom-line is the Attorney General's Office used the information in the FORGED affidavit to discredit JOHNSON AND JUDGE LITTLE DENIED BETTY A HEARING BECAUSE THE DEPOSITION AND AFFIDAVIT CONTRADICTED EACH OTHER.
